This is an extremely high visibility role at a time of real growth and innovation for a market-leading business. It’s also an unorthodox blend – we’ll be making the most both of your digital product and UX skills as well as your commercial acumen, and skill in driving revenue through digital optimisation. What you’ll be doing
Reporting directly in to the MD of this section of the business, you’ll be responsible for the commercial performance of a suite of consumer facing digital products. These will sit across four main groups – a group of (large scale) websites and digital platforms, the CMSs that these sit on, the digital advertising stack (native and display in the main) and finally a brand new proposition around data innovation.  This role is rooted in commercial – you will be the person owning the overall direction of the digital products, working closely with the technical delivery team and asking the question “what will the commercial impact of this be?”. As such, your ability to communicate clearly with very technical (developers / AdOperations) and very non-technical (journalists / editors / C-level) colleagues alike will be key. You will apply your knowledge of user experience and digital best practice to define the roadmap for the products which will enable revenue growth. A large part of this role will focus around digital advertising as a product – so you’re very likely to come from a digital publishing or AdTech background. 
What experience you’ll need

The experience required here falls in to three main categories. First and foremost is commercial acumen – everything that the product team work on is boiled down to numbers, results and driving increases across engagement and performance. The second big section is around UX and digital product management – you’ll have experience of owning the digital roadmap for products and being able to juggle the expectations of end users and internal sales / technical teams in terms of the realities of the commercial impact changes will make. Finally, you’ll be an expert in digital media, online advertising and display. This is a big one. Understanding this world inside out, from a technical and commercial perspective, will be key in you driving forward innovations and improvements in this space. Whether the business continues to thrive as an online business will be in many ways down to the direction that you set – so this really is a high visibility role. This is an Agile environment, so exposure to working in this way would be very beneficial. 
What you’ll get in return

Salary wise, we can go up to £50k on the basic. This is in addition to a healthy set of benefits. The big thing here is the opportunity.
