SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER for Branded Hotel in South East London

Salary : £35000

In this challenging role the Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving / exceeding revenue budgets for the hotel across the different segmentation. The candidate should be pro-active and energetic with a proven track record in achieving sales targets and the ability to think strategically and execute effective and focussed sales & marketing plan.

This is an exciting time for the hotel and the local area and we are seeking a motivated individual to lead and develop the sales and event team.

You will report directly to the General Manager and Group Directors.

KEY DUTIES & OBJECTIVES

  • Create and implement a sales and marketing strategy
  • Plan and direct day to day operation of the sales & marketing function to ensure maximum revenue & profitability
  • Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and national/international sales trips
  • Support internal and external marketing campaign including brochures, sites and social media updates, posters, etc
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual sales and marketing plan and budgets
  • Devise and execute hotel sales & marketing promotional campaigns through local & national media, evaluating & reporting on marketing campaigns ROI
  • Identification and management of all Corporate and Consortia RFP’s
  • Analysis of GDS production reports & intelligence information to develop business channel
  • Product and report weekly & monthly on account performance and general activity to General Manager and Central Office
  • Manage online marketing & brand website through content development and continually driving customers direct to this sale channel
  • Promote the hotel through familiarisation trips, sales meetings, showrounds and other methods
  • Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis; monitoring their performance, rates and sales activities

The Ideal candidate

  • The ideal candidate will have strong experience Hotel Sales and Marketing
  • Currently working at management level within a Sales focused position in a 4* or 5* environment. 
  • Previous experience working within an International brand is a must.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and in writing)
  • Demonstrate a passion for exceptional customer service and commitment to team’s development
  • Working knowledge of Delphi
  • Excellent presentation and grooming standards
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong leadership skills and people management
  • Speaks several languages is a bonus
