Social Media Manager
Join a brand new team as part of the expanding digital services studio of a well-known brand in central Birmingham.
As Social Media Manager, you will be working across a selected portfolio of high-profile consumer brands. This is a functional role, with elements of strategy and bigger picture thinking. You will be responsible for delivering the brand's social media activity, overseeing all the social media channels, and ensuring that the conversation is engaging, on brand, and in the correct tone of voice for the target audiences. The role will see you implementing social media strategies for the brand's social channels, managing and running all social media accounts, implementing content plans, pitching and implementing own ideas, creating engaging and professional content, reporting and analysing social media actions, maintaining a friendly and enthusiastic presence on all platforms, and refining and innovating the social media process.
What we're looking for:
It is absolutely essential that you have: excellent understanding of social media and experience of social media community management; experience of managing all social media platforms for high profile brands; a thorough understanding and hands-on experience of all major social media platforms; experience of working in an agency; hands-on experience of working with platforms such as NUVI, Sprinkler, Hoot Suite, or similar; customer service experience and an understanding of PR / crisis management; and excellent writing skills, able to write social content for different target audience groups. You should be experienced with, and passionate about, digital and social media, and should be an authority on the latest social media trends and all the social channels. On top of this essential experience, you should be keen to learn new skills as part of the wider digital services team, and happy and able to work collaboratively and to provide assistance on other web projects.
