Product Manager
Our client is a leading B2B services distribution business based in Birmingham with other UK offices, looking to recruit a Product Information Manager with extensive experience architecting solutions in Product Information Management and/or Digital Asset Management space.

This role will be responsible for managing their enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) and integrated Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform for the business. Salary up to £40,000 with a highly competitive remuneration, pension, life assurance and options to join a private medical cover scheme.

Some of the accountabilities for this role will be:

- Serving as the liaison between the Product and Marketing departments and Supply Chain departments, in the collection, maintenance and use of product and supplier information managed in the PIM.
- Provide leadership, direction, and project management to ensure successful delivery and operations.
- Leading the implementation of ETIM - a worldwide uniform classification for technical products
- Defining and documenting data needs and outputs required of the PIM and works closely with internal teams and product vendors to develop processes & workflow to meet requirements.
- Coordinating projects related to data enrichment, data cleansing and process improvement by defining and managing project scope, deliverables, resources required, and timelines.
- Managing and documenting data attributes, taxonomy, hierarchy, workflow and procedures in the PIM.
- Audits and monitors adherence to standards and takes corrective action as necessary.
- Creation of bespoke customer catalogues and their management on eProcurement platforms.
- The integration and implementation of incoming and outgoing data feeds, data governance, and system administration.
- Providing training to users in utilising the PIM.
- Identifying, developing, and integrating business processes related to PIM & DAM into the overall digital customer experience strategy.

Essential Experience:

- Extensive experience architecting solutions in Product Information Management and/or Digital Asset Management space
- Electrical/MRO industry product knowledge (ideal)
- Experience with data transformation, mapping and configuration
- Vendor management
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Access and other Microsoft Office products. Team management experience 2+ years

Essential Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

- Proven people skills, working successfully in a team context and with many stakeholders.
- Proven consultative, project management and multi-tasking skills.
- Problem solver that uses information, judgment and logic to assess carefully before acting on the optimal solution.
- Working SEO knowledge. Experience working to uniform classification systems (ETIM, eClass etc)
- Effective communicator across multi-functional teams.
- A motivated self-starter with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other groups in the organization.
- Ability to set priories, but remain flexible in changing environment.
- Team player who enjoys collaborating with others, but also has the ability to manage projects with minimal direction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

£35,000 - £40,000
