Senior Marketing Executive - Events / Exhibitions / Conferences

 

This is a great opportunity to join a global media organisation specialising in events, exhibitions and conferences across an extensive number of industries. This FTSE 100 company, who offer excellent career development and progression, is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Senior Marketing Executive to join one of its most prestigious UK based events.

 

This is a rare and exciting chance to work on their premier jewellery show, which unites high-end manufacturers, designers, gem companies and allied services with senior level jewellery buyers at a market-leading luxury trade and consumer event. It would suit a candidate with experience in multi-platform marketing, and Visitor and Exhibitor recruitment from a media, publishing, trade event or exhibitions background.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategy
  • Exposure to/involved in production of elements of the marketing strategy plan
  • Producing marketing communications plans
  • Planning, Campaign and Implementation
  • Implementation of full Visitor, Exhibitor and promotional campaigns
  • Planning and implementing research
  • Managing show website, social media campaigns, sourcing content for communications, print production, show database, agency briefings
  • Collaborating with Sales, Operations and Customer Services and digital teams to ensure a good quality event delivery

 

Information Analysis

 

  • Analysis of campaigns to identify areas of improvement
  • Provide recommendation and insight about campaign performance to improve key metrics
  • Analysing and tracking campaigns
  • Monitoring competitor activities
  • Demonstrating market knowledge
  • Producing post show data audit

 

Communications

 

  • Demonstrating high level of attention to detail, copywriting, briefings, managing costs, meeting deadlines
  • Website content management
  • External Relationships
  • Ability to manage key strategic external relationships

 

Budget Management

 

  • Accurately record and forecast costs against budget as well as managing whole cost centres
  • Administration
  • Ensuring customer needs are being met by monitoring customer requests, questions and queries
  • Dealing with Visitor, Exhibitor and VIP Buyer queries when needed

 

The candidate will possess: 

 

  • Proven experience in event registration, social media advertising, online and offline marketing
  • A good understanding of managing budgets, PR and social media campaigns and marketing collateral
  • Excellent time management skills, to be able to prioritise workloads.
  • Strong copywriting skills across all marketing channels.
  • A team player with good written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of developing marketing communications plans, segmented marketing campaigns, database management
  • Good analytical skills in order to collect and interpreting information and make recommendations.
  • Proactive rather than reactive. Needs limited input from Marketing Manager on a day to day basis. Able to mentor less experienced members of the team
  • Regularly takes on more responsibility and delivers effective results
  • Raises red flags with managers and proposes solutions
  • Experience in exhibition background would be an advantage
