Our client, a youth orientated charitable organisation, has a great opportunity for an experienced Digital Designer to join their team in Nottinghamshire.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will manage and maintain the digital branding of the company, ensuring quality is consistent throughout the organisation.
You will provide the artistic direction of campaigns from initial concepts to the final product through a development process; ensuring users are kept engaged and excited through your digital design. You will also ensure that website and email visuals are kept fresh and ideas answer the brief.
Work with the marketing team to monitor, evaluate maintain and develop the company’s digital presence.
Plan ways to improve digital user engagement by understanding customer journeys and web analytics, and considering customer qualitative feedback.
Ensure digital content, design and layout remains relevant to the audience’s needs and expectations (particularly with regard to usability and accessibility).
Work closely with clients to advise the best outcome for their requested marketing campaign.
Interpret and challenge client’s project briefs while maintaining good relationships.
Communicate with clients with varying levels of understanding during the briefing and design process.
Take the lead in creating concepts and digital designs which engage the spirit of the audience and adheres to brand guidelines and messages, with particular focus on video, animation, web layouts, email and other digital artwork.
Monitor all artwork (produced internally, or by partner stakeholders) to ensure it adheres to the brand guidelines and ensure it is kept consistent when campaigns are created.
Use quality control processes to ensure all information is proofed and displayed correctly.
Develop and update HTML emails, landing pages and websites.
Meet deadlines efficiently to allow other members of the team to achieve their targets.
Keep up to date on the latest design trends to ensure designs are not out-dated.
Use innovative approaches to maximise online engagement and experience across multiple devices, sourcing external services where appropriate.
Knowledge and expertise:
Proven experience in a similar role.
BA Hons in Graphic Design.
Excellent knowledge and experience of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and other Adobe Creative suite software/Mac Literate.
Experience and knowledge of applying and monitoring brand guidelines.
Strong creative and innovative ability in the areas of animation, video, vector based artwork, photo manipulation, HTML emails, landing pages and website design.
Experienced in working with WordPress.
Ability to convert designs from PSD/Sketch to HTML & CSS with a focus on responsive web.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with experience of working to deadlines and prioritising across multiple projects.
Experience of interpreting design briefs and delivering pixel perfect design assets output (for website, app etc) in line with expectations of both the client and intended audience.
Up to date with latest digital design trends.
