More from morgs- on 2018

2018 is here and I'm looking forward to how my year will pan out. Right now, I feel fresh and organised, but we all know that won’t last long. Lists grow and plans change and before you know it, it's December again. It is important to prioritise, to tick of the most important things you want or need to do. As they say 'start as you mean to go on', so you better get cracking!

I have a lot I want to achieve within the next 12 months, both in my work and my personal life, so my calendar is looking pretty full already. Fortunately, I LOVE planning. I like to reflect back each year and know I have made the most of it. I create lists, lists for my lists and have a whole load of ideas that I want to action. If I don’t plan, I find I do not get the time to see everyone I want to see and do everything I want to do. Whatever the occasion, I take the lead in my group of friends, I organise and book literally everything. I could be seen to be a bit of a control freak, but I just love to research, usually finding the best place at the best price.

I have booked some exciting stuff already, including; a trip to Aruba, to see the Flamingo beach; Aintree Races for the Grand National; a chocolate making course and I'm having laser eye surgery. 20/20 vision (well, close to) HERE I COME! These are plans from my life time list, so slightly more extravagant, but as for the day to day, I am always looking for things to do locally to London and welcome any recommendations you have. Whether it be green spaces to wander around, restaurants to dine in or events to go to, I'm all ears.

At work life is a bit different. December was all about planning and as expected we have hit the ground running. Nearly a month into the New Year and OnlyMarketingJobs have already grown. We made two new hires in our Sales Team, which meant we updated our Meet the Team page, we have drafted designs for the launch of a new product-Creative Listings and set a date for our On The EDGE event.

We also hit our Q4 target, so last week we took a trip to Dans le Noir to dine in the Dark. What an experience! It was a great way to start the working year and really motivate everyone to push towards and exceed Q1’s goal.

If you haven’t quite found that motivation yet, you may be in need of a change or a gentle nudge. What are you waiting for? Whether it is to read a certain book, go on that trip you’ve always dreamt of or find a new job, take the first step and start actioning things on your lists today.
