Superb, multi-award winning international agency seeks an experienced [Digital] Account Director to work on an FMCG account.

The Agency

The agency is a leading direct and digital marketing agency who are part of a worldwide network.

The Account Director Role

The agency are looking for an Account Director with at least a years’ experience at Account Director level. The Account Director must have experience in managing a junior team, or if not, a desire to manage.

Working on a stunning FMCG account you need to be passionate about the FMCG sector, and willing to get under the skin of the complex landscape of retail both on and off line. 

You’ll be working with big household brands in both domestic and European markets.

You will have experience in working with a planning team developing digital strategies and be capable of understanding the functionality of a digital CRM platform.

You will be responsible for building relationships with the brand teams, understanding what their key trial barriers are and developing digital strategies ensuring the campaigns, user journeys, content and mechanics are always true to each brands’ equity, their specific audience and delivering on their business challenges.

You must be an Account Director who is gregarious, confident and entrepreneurial in creating conversations and comfortable telling a compelling story in a presentation, exciting brand teams with the capabilities of the platform and what any level of investment can achieve.

You will need to be able to hit the ground running and ensure that day-to-day campaigns are running smoothly. You will be responsible for managing an Account Manager and Account Executive who will support you in the executional and delivery elements of each campaign.

The position reports into a Group Account Director who in turn reports into a Client Services Director.

The Account Director’s Skills, Personal Attributes and Attitude Required

Excellent background experience working on a fast paced and demanding account - digital experience a must, FMCG and data experience preferable.

Ideally you have experience of working across a range of stakeholders – where you have demonstrated excellent listening skills and awareness to pitch the message at the right level to a variety of clients.

You are a strategic thinker who enjoys tackling big client challenges. Especially working closely with other agencies with the client’s best interest at heart.

You must be quick at building relationships, both client and inter-agency, be used to tight turnarounds and able to think on your feet in pressurised situations and know when to challenge and how to challenge.

You love the creative process, know great work when you see it and can articulate why!

You are also capable of building strong relationships around the agency and with clients at junior and mid-level and finally, you have an excellent understanding of the digital landscape.
