Multi-award winning central Bristol (and London) software house are looking for a Senior Front-End/Javascript Developer to join their fantastic 16 strong dev team to produce high quality, complex data-driven applications used by millions of people worldwide. In a period of prolonged expansion, they’re looking to double in size next year with plenty of roles available internally for swift career progression. If you want to work within a hugely progressive, exciting and ambitious software house using Angular, Node and a whole lot more in ways that nobody else in the region does then this is the one for you!

What experience you'll need

As Senior Front-End/Javascript Developer you'll have proven skills in JavaScript (including exposure to Angular, React or Ember), an understanding of OOP concepts, experience in designing and building API's (they use MEAN stack) and experience of TDD. Bonus points and thumbs up for any knowledge/experience of MongoDB, Jasmine and Vue.js. They will need you to have some experience of leading work estimation and forecasting and ideally a strong understanding of working in an Agile/Scrum style set-up. You'll be required to learn quickly and ensure your code is squeaky clean through TDD, pairing and code reviews whilst supporting and directing a small team of 2-3 developers per project.

What you'll be doing

They need people who enjoy using progressive technologies to help advance their behaviour-based ad serving platform for use within a hugely lucrative sector. It’s really interesting work in a relaxed start-up like team environment where you can soon contribute to technical design discussions formulating your own ideas and experimenting with cutting edge tech. Upcoming projects are boundary-stretching and hugely innovative; they're keen to find people who share their desire to produce the best possible user experiences through extending and evolving their products. They are big proponents of open source technology who encourage your active involvement in the community so away from the commercial work there’ll be interesting projects and challenges on offer.

What you'll get in return for your talents

In return you’ll benefit from ongoing personal development including an impressive training budget and access to industry events. You’ll also be welcomed into a positive office environment with an unrivalled sense of autonomy in the work place including flexible working hours and occasional remote work, so this really suits someone who is hardworking and independent and really loves to code. Its high profile work that anyone would want in their portfolio so if you’ve got the right set of skills then expect a salary heading up to £45K in this role with generous holiday, a stack load of flexible bens to pick from and more. You can pick your own hardware, get involved in regular team socials and trips across their offices in Bristol and London.
