Our client is part of an international service provider in the pharmaceutical sector specialising in digital services. Creating insight driven digital strategy to highly engaging digital experiences and awesome business applications. A growing business based in spacious offices just outside of the city centre with ample on site parking.

Our client is expanding their development team and are looking to recruit a Junior Front End Developer  who will be responsible for the ongoing development and support of existing market leading products along with helping to shape and develop new greenfield products and solutions.

You will be highly motivated, a keen problem solver and willing to work closely with both clients and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities will include translation of UI/UX designs to responsive HTML/CSS applications that will be optimized for cross-browser support. Creation of engaging offline solutions where our insight led process with allow you to work on interesting and unique problems.

Key Skills

 Good knowledge of front end skills using HTML5, CSS3

 Ability to create fully responsive integrations for a variety of devices and screen resolutions

 Some understanding of JavaScript and associated libraries

 Image manipulation with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator

 Attention to detail

 A love of solving problems creatively

 Ability to work effectively as part of a team

 Good written and verbal communication skills

 Inter-personal skills with a flexible approach and an ability to adapt to circumstances

 Ability to work under own initiative

 Ability to work to tight timelines

 Willingness to learn and develop

Desired Skills

 An understanding of cross-browser quirks and how to work around them

 Experience of CSS pre-processors (LESS / SASS)

 Experience in Package Management solutions (npm, bower)

 A good understanding of JavaScript task runners (grunt, gulp)

 Familiarity with .NET

 Experience of Distributed Source Control systems (Mercurial, GIT, etc)

Key Responsibilities

 Develop new user-facing features in existing market leading products

 Validate the technical feasibility of UI/UX design

 Perform investigations in to issues and the creation of appropriate fixes

 Collaborate with other team members (Developers, User Research) and stakeholders

 Help define project plans by providing accurate time estimates for key activities during planning activities

 Report progress on tasks to the project team

 Follow all department standards and methodologies

 Keep abreast of technical and industry developments
