Overview
Working for a Digital Web & Marketing Agency. Our client is currently seeking a talented, passionate and creative Web Designer with a passion to join their team. The main focus of this role is being responsible for delivering responsive web solutions that provide a well planned user experience for the customers and their users. You will utilise your core skills in XHTML5, CSS. Wordpress forms the greatest part of this role and this is a key skill that is required by the client.
In addition, the Web Designer will work closely with the company Directors and are likely to attend client meetings and presentations.
Responsibilities for the Web Designer
Web Designers are responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of a website. Using a combination of design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created, the work involves:
- Liaising closely with a customer or client at the design stage
- Producing a design that is eye catching and creative to the chosen target market.
- Writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as hypertext mark-up language (HTML), JavaScript, Action script, Flash or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver is required
- Testing the site and any forms for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions to make sure of the quality that is provided
- SEO knowledge will be needed to make sure that each website is marketed successfully.
This is a flexible role for someone with experience of web design and someone who has Web design / SEO / Wordpress capabilities.
