This is an exciting opportunity to head up a small eCommerce team as part of a growing independent retailer, specialising in high-end luxury interiors. They’re an established brand with a brilliant vision, promoting autonomy and a strong direction of where they want to be.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting into the company directors, you’ll lead an eCommerce team of 2/3, including an Online Merchandiser and Digital Marketing Executive. With their roles covering online content/merchandising and various digital marketing channels, you will be responsible for developing the online marketing strategy in conjunction with the brand team to ensure consistency across the business. To be more specific, this will involve the SEO, PPC and Affiliate plans, juggling responsibilities with the Digital Marketing Executive as they grow their skills in these areas. You will, however, continue to be in charge of this overarching eCommerce strategy. A big project over the first 6-12 months will be to manage the build of a new website, working closely with the development team to ensure the business has a strong platform for continued growth.

What experience you’ll need

Taking into account the role outlined above, the ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in an eCommerce environment (luxury brand knowledge across multiple product lines would be a real plus) with demonstrable success in growing a brand and improving ROI. It’s important you have broad experience across managing new website builds, optimising the customer journey and creating a strong digital marketing strategy, so an experienced eCommerce Manager would be the preference here. Magento experience is preferred alongside MS Navision, although not a must.

What you’ll get in return for your talents

The chance to immerse yourself in an ambitious business with an amazing product line through continued innovation. Salary would be in the region of £35-45/50k depending upon experience, although they are open to seeing a more senior candidate who would love to be hands on.
