Trinity Mirror is looking for a talented and enthusiastic SEO Executive for its network of national and regional news websites. This role will involve communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and occasionally travel to meet and provide SEO training for local teams.

Role Responsibility

In order to succeed in this role you will:

  • Work with the Regionals SEO Manager to improve search traffic to Trinity Mirror Group regional & national websites in order to reach traffic targets as set by the business
  • Create and distribute SEO reports
  • Be pro-active in identifying search trends and communicating insights to the relevant teams
  • Provide SEO training for journalists, both through presentations and one-to-one coaching
  • Support the wider SEO team with regular contributions to best practices and search industry developments and stay up to date with SEO news
  • Monitor web analytics data to identify and report on any insights or potential SEO issues
  • Assist in creating content plans for upcoming events and provide pro-active advice during breaking news
  • Collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams to ensure search is ingrained in all relevant website projects

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience specialising in SEO & online marketing
  • Highly confident communicator – proactive and responsive
  • Strong analytical skills – familiarity with at least one web analytics software package
  • Basic understanding of social media
  • Strong grasp of news & current affairs
