We are working with an entrepreneurial property business specialising in shopping centre management in recruiting a Retail Liaison Manager to be the main contact between the Area Managers and the centre management team at a popular shopping centre in Reading.

The shopping centre is currently undergoing a number of projects and developments including a complete rebrand of the centre and a new outdoor food and beverage offering. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an exciting transformation that will change the perception of individuals.

  • Retail Liaison Manager/ Marketing Manager.
  • You will play a key role in driving individual tenant success and entire property performance by building relationships, analysing data, identifying opportunities and shaping strategy.
  • You will liaise regularly with retailers to meet their needs from strategy support to marketing and operations.
  • You will gather sales and performance data to identify opportunities for further revenue generation and report back to senior management and the landlord.
  • Work with the Centre Manager, Landlord's representatives and Marketing Agency, if applicable, to deliver and implement the Centre marketing strategy.
  • Assist with the execution and management of the centre brand strategy ensuring that this is being adhered to correctly at all times.
  • Deliver innovative marketing campaigns and bespoke initiatives to create customer loyalty and maximise dwell time, spend, and visitor footfall in line with the overall marketing strategy for the Centre.
  • Liaise with tenants, local organisations, local media and other relevant local stakeholders and provide regular feedback to colleagues.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of community awareness and promote corporate social responsibilities.
  • Liaise closely with tenants to ensure that they are aware of, and buy into, the marketing plan. Secure their co-operation and participation where necessary and report regularly to them with campaign updates, research findings and future plans.


We are looking for an individual who finds it easy to talk to people and who can build trusting relationships with the retailers. Ideally, someone who can understand their needs and help them achieve their objectives that also has a sound understanding of delivering marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will also be able to understand what excellent customer service looks like and put measures in place to deliver high standards of customer care at an evolving shopping centre.
