Digital Marketing Analyst - Interim

FWD Thinking are supporting a brand based near Bath who have seen huge success in the last 5 years - they are have ambitious growth plans which delivers long term value for its customers, shareholders and people.

There has been a big investment in this digital team and they are now looking for a Digital Marketing Analyst to support them in delivering the digital strategy. You'll need a head for numbers, be an expert in Google Analytics and a wiz with excel. The role includes ownership and reporting of marketing data to continually improve digital performance. Interpreting data to identify issues and spot opportunities to boost performance, you will be proactive in making recommendations with the ability to present / visualize data in an engaging way.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitoring of key performance indicators and optimisation initiatives to drive visitor and revenue growth.
  • To provide insight into funnel analysis and user behavior.
  • Web analytics design and implementation.
  • To own digital reporting across all channels.
  • To interrogate data and optimise
  • To own Google Analytics and other digital reporting tools, ensuring they're continually audited and tagged correctly.
  • Build and manage daily, weekly and monthly reports through Google Analytics and other means.
  • To draw actionable insights which help develop the digital strategy moving forward.
  • Continually review and refine the sales funnel, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
  • To ensure all activities are performance monitored and delivered against a financial plan.
  • To be confident in presenting findings to key stakeholders around the business.

What skills you'll need:

  • Degree educated
  • Experience of working with Business Analytics tools (Google 360 suite including Google analytics and Tag manager, Doubleclick,, Adobe Campaign or equivalent )
  • Experience of Visualisation tools i.e Tableau
  • Demonstrable advanced level MS Excel skills inc VBA
  • Experience of SQL query writing
  • 3+ years as a digital marketing professional
  • Experience of tracking Conversion Rate Optimisation
  • Experience of using multi-channel competitor monitoring tools.
  • Confident in influencing people and managing projects.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of paid advertising, across PPC, Display, Social Media & email.
