The Department

The Digital Marketing Department is responsible for generating and optimising traffic to the brands we work with.  

Purpose of Job

Reporting into the Head of Performance Media, this position requires a dynamic individual who will be responsible for managing the company’s affiliate strategy across Sports publishers & adhering to significant monthly spend targets 
 
The performance media team work alongside all of our other marketing channels for maximum efficiency and performance, and this role will require strong relationship management skills as well a passion for deal making, negotiation & optimisation. You will be responsible for the P&L & all other performance KPI’s for the publishers you manage.  

Essential Skills

• Passion for Sports 
• Fluent English – both written and spoken 
• Solid experience within Account Management, Digital marketing or Affiliate Marketing  
• Proven planning and organisational skills 
• Highly analytical and able to demonstrate ongoing campaign optimisation 
• Ability to understand, manipulate and interpret data to make informed business decisions and drive profitability 
• Extensive knowledge of and previous experience working with Affiliate tracking and Affiliate management software 
• Ability to prove a track record of success at ROI level 
• Experience in negotiating on Rev Share & CPA buying models & measuring efficiency against both 
• Experience in collaborating cross department in order to keep affiliates informed of upcoming sports promotions  
• A strong attention to detail

• Examples of how you showed initiative/ innovation in order to further develop publisher performance 
• Experience in growing & developing any new markets with demonstrable examples, including affiliate research/ recruitment in other regions 
• Understanding the value of different publisher traffic sources

You will be responsible for:  
• Developing and pro-actively managing a portfolio of client affiliate marketing programs ensuring you have indepth understanding of the financial value of your portfolio 
• Acquisition, retention and activation of new affiliates and partnerships 
• Negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements with all partners 
• Identifying new client opportunities  
• Analysis of campaigns, reporting ROI results & devising strategies to move forward 
• Monitoring and analysing results of all campaigns, including weekly and monthly KPI reports - Conversion rates optimisation 
• Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular contact which will include face to face meetings, telephone and email communication 
• Proactively managing your online marketing budget  
• Developing and maintaining market leading industry knowledge of affiliate marketing to assist with delivering a top level service 
• Working with numerical data presented in a variety of reports and spread sheets 
• Updating the department on performance & having the confidence in decision making with the ability to back up any decisions made with clear rationale 
• Identifying commercial wins for the business through ongoing efficient management of your publishers 
• Ongoing optimisation of deals through testing of promotions & creative
