European Retail Marketing Specialist

Reporting to European Marketing Director

The European Retail Marketing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all marketing activities for the Trek owned retail stores across Europe. This will involve daily collaboration with the Trek stores, the European Retail team, and the global Trek Retail team in Madison Wisconsin. The role therefore requires a high level of communication and organizational skills. The job role is diverse and calls for a candidate who is able to multi task, think on their feet and confidently work on a number of different projects at any one time, successfully hitting scheduled deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate global retail marketing campaigns – working with the US retail team and the EU retail team to ensure campaigns have maximum relevancy and effect in market
  • Own and run the weekly EU retail marketing meeting to ensure the needs of the EU Trek owned stores are documented, implemented, and reviewed regularly
  • Manage EU retail marketing campaigns. Producing marketing campaign briefings for the global retail team on local marketing requirements, managing the process from initial briefing through to campaign delivery and implementation
  • Coordinate product launch marketing activities across the EU retail stores ensuring maximum exposure and footfall is generated
  • In-store event coordination
  • Social activities
  • Create, maintain and distribute the European Retail Marketing Calendar to include: global and local campaigns, major events and product launches
  • Coordinate and implement the email communication weekly plan based on the global retail communications calendar
  • Develop and implement a monthly marketing report for retail marketing activities across Europe
  • TCRM
  • Women’s advocate program/team liaison

Requirements

  • Candidates must have 2-4 years’ experience in event planning
  • A Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing or related field is preferred
  • Excellent time management and pro-active goal accountability
  • Outstanding customer service skills both internally and externally
  • Ability to work well and build sound relationships with multi-disciplinary teams
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales, marketing or retail-related field
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on projects
  • Highly organized and a good communicator
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with online content management
  • Social/digital
  • Familiarity with google analytics and SEO/SEM
  • Must hold driving license and be willing to travel to Europe throughout the year
  • The ability to speak other languages is desirable, but not essential.
