Sony are a well-known multinational corporation whose diversified business includes consumer and professional electronics, gaming, entertainment, and financial services. Despite arguably being best known for Playstation and Mobile phones, Sony in Weybridge is home to some of their biggest consumer products including TVs, Cameras and Sound Systems. Due to progression within the team we are partnering with Sony to recruit the interim position of Videographer for a 12 month full-time contract.
Your new role
Working as part of the wider Brand Activation unit, the Content team is responsible for all published content for Sony's consumer electronics products across the UK. You will work as part of this team to create & lead the production of engaging videos suitable for multiple channels. You will lead production meetings with stakeholders, plan and organise the content production schedule, and deliver filming, editing and production services for all video content. You will also work with the team manager to co-manage the YouTube account and maintaining an archive of video content - reporting on the performance of digital content, making recommendations for improvements and ensuring SEO best practice is followed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be experienced in video content and confident with your ability to film, edit and produce high-quality video content. You will have worked with Digital film and still cameras, in-house studio & lighting equipment, and have a sound knowledge of the production process, colour grading, digital compression for video & formatting for a variety of distribution channels that include online, mobile and social media. You will also be skilled in the use of picture and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects etc.)
This is an initial 12 month full-time contract so you must be able to commit to full-time employment.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary/rate of circa £20 per hour / £150 per day for a full-time position, for a period of 12 months with a strong possibility of extension. You will have the opportunity to work with a leading worldwide brand, in vibrant and busy offices in a role central to online content production and publishing.
