Comic Relief is at a transformational stage in its development. It is a traditional and much loved British institution and is modernising as an organisation, super serving its existing audience with refreshed comedy content and entertaining ways to give and participate – through Red Nose Day and our year round 365 approach to fundraising.
The Comic Relief name is synonymous with the best of the British national spirit. Since our creation 33 years ago, through the generosity of the British public, we have successfully raised over £1bn towards delivering our vision - to create a just world free from poverty. We are donor, fundraiser, partner, advocate and creative agency. From this versatile position, we will continue to evoke a sense of responsibility and compassion towards people in the UK and around the world.
We are looking to the future, seeking to be a modern, dynamic and disruptive force for accelerating change on pressing issues which matter here in the UK and around the world. We work in partnership with amazing people and organisations, those who are closest to the issues, recognising they are best placed to help find solutions. Our ambition is to demonstrate and celebrate the unique way in which small acts of empathy, as exemplified in our campaigns, are helping to create change.
The Comms Executive will support in that modern vision – helping to deliver a fresh and relevant PR strategy across local, national and online media. The Comms Exec will be responsible for the effective running of our press office function, driving ideas, and supporting the delivery of PR strategies for Red Nose Day 2019. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, brimming with ideas and initiative, and who is comfortable working as part of a small but busy team.
We are on the cusp of a new chapter that takes Comic Relief to the next generation – come and help create the future.
Comic Relief welcomes, and seeks to ensure we achieve, diversity in our workforce and that all job applicants and employees receive equal and fair treatment, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
