With over 30 years' experience in their sector, our client offers a range of online training programmes and bespoke training solutions.
As Digital Marketing Executive, you will be sitting in a small, yet efficient and super friendly marketing team, joining an Assistant Marketing Manager and a Digital Content Specialist; together you will create effective Digital Marketing campaigns that drive traffic and generate leads.
The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the daily maintenance and development of the company website and support the execution of email marketing campaigns.
The ongoing website project will involve daily content updates, optimising content for SEO, creating and uploading new landing pages and ensuring that the e-commerce facility is functioning correctly. As part of this role, you'll also take total ownership of the website performance and user experience, so you'll be naturally inquisitive and analytical, enjoy spending time in Google Analytics and other performance-based tools such as Hotjar (training available if you haven't used this tool before), to understand web traffic and performance.
You will also work closely with external agencies on search and acquisition activities (SEO and PPC), which is a great opportunity to learn from industry experts and widen your knowledge of Digital Marketing.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily management of the website (125+ pages)
- Creating SEO optimised content with the help of the internal Content Marketing Specialist
- Use Google Analytics to track and analyse website traffic and key performance indicators, such as bounce rates and dwell time, provide regular internal reports and make recommendations for improvement
- Work closely with external agencies on SEO and PPC activity
- Create and deploy emails using an industry standard email platform (track and measure effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement)
Whilst the main focus of this role is the ongoing development of the company's website and email communications, you will also be involved in ALL elements of digital marketing from SEO, PPC and Social Media activity, it will, therefore, be vital that you have some experience in a digital environment, and a desire to learn and develop within it.
You may have come from a Web Content/Digital Marketing Assistant type role but have a keen interest in broadening your digital skill set and utilising your analytical and inquisitive nature.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years' experience in digital marketing, and previous experience of Google Analytics.
