Marketing Assistant, Publishing, West London, £25k

We have an exciting new opportunity with a B2B online media, publishing and conferences / events
business based in South West London.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious capable marketing executive to curate and upload content, manage social media groups and feeds, produce weekly email newsletters, analyse Google analytics, manage a growing group of bloggers, drive up traffic through awesome SEO skills and help clients find great information.

This will either be your first full-time job in media if you've had a good stretch of relevant internships (6 months total experience minimum) in which you've excelled, or your second role where you are looking to apply everything you learned in a starter position. Salary offered will reflect your experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Craft eye-catching content

• Writing copy for all marketing collateral, including brochures, letters, emails and websites. Producing additional marketing communications such as flyers, brochures and exhibition-related projects where necessary
• Producing our weekly LSN email newsletter s and maintenance of the campaigns behind them
• Monitoring progress of campaigns using various metrics and submit reports of performance

2. Community Managament

• Building and maintaining relationships with media vendors across our three brands to ensure collaboration in promotional activities
• Conducting market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness and competition ventures
• Initiating and controlling surveys to assess customer requirements
• Representing us alongside other team members at our conferences and events

3. Digital development

• Daily management of website, including posting and maintaining all kinds of content (news, events, blogs, case studies etc)
• Management alongside editorial teams of sites(Wordpress)
• Monitoring ongoing campaigns, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances and trends occur. Undertake detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are being met
• Tracking competitor activity by keeping abreast of market changes and the marketing mix used by competitors


4. Social Media

• Building and maintaining our social media presence / engagement across multiple LinkedIn groups and on Twitter, Flickr, YouTube etc by posting content, moderating and encouraging replies, sending weekly LinkedIn announcements and actively encouraging activity and discussion
• Live tweeting / blogging from LSN events and overall responsibility for LSN's Twitter feeds
• Managing LinkedIn group membership and generating of internal LinkedIn group membership reports

Key Skills required:

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Excellent command of written English with copy accuracy
• Ability to use spreadsheets to analyse data and spot trends
• PC literate with good working knowledge of Excel, InDesign (or similar desktop
publishing tool), TweetDeck / Hootsuite (or similar for social posting and
measurement), SalesForce (or similar CRM system) and CMS (Campaign Monitor)
• SEO training/experience
• Google analytics training and experience (either formally or on the job)
• Image manipulation skills (Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator or similar - either
formally or on the job)
