Events Marketing Campaign Manager

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. There are 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and this is set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

This maternity cover role will see the successful applicant immerse themselves in the world of Sports Events and Mass Participation Events. Sitting within the Fundraising directorate, we work to grow our supporter base to increase our income and support more people affected by dementia.

About the role

Reporting into the Head of Sports Events, this role will work across two of the largest income streams in Fundraising – Sports Events and Mass Participation Events.

Within Sports Events you will be focussing on our Challenge events programme consisting of cycles, treks, skydiving and swimming. We have ambitious plans for this area of events and this role will be pivotal in developing and delivering strategic, long term, cross channel marketing plans for all disciplines. You will also be working closely with our award winning Mass Participation Events team on products such as Cupcake Day, which entered the top 25 Mass Fundraising Events report in 2017. New product development is a key focus for the Mass Participation Events team and you will work with the New Product team to launch and market test products.

About you

You will be a highly enthusiastic, creative and strategic individual experienced in multi-channel marketing, preferably in the field of fundraising events. As a strong relationship builder you will hold relationships with internal stakeholders including our Marketing, Brand, Digital and Customer Service and Insight teams; as well as our external marketing agency.

You will be target driven, looking for and utilising opportunities to reach our ambitious acquisition targets and increase income. You will ensure best use of spend whilst testing and reporting on new marketing channels to diversify and reach new audiences.
