Overall, this role will see you devising, developing, and delivering a comprehensive strategic marketing plan, as well as new and innovative marketing strategies for the company's varied demographics. The role is a real traditional marketing role, but the company is looking to fully embrace digital - so the role really needs someone who is digitally savvy and commercially aware, but who can also do the traditional elements of marketing. Essentially, you will need a strong understanding of what works and what doesn't. Some of the responsibilities that you can expect with this role will include working with directors to develop a marketing strategy, ensuring that the strategy is managed well and communicated effectively, developing and delivering traditional press and media advertising, developing e-marketing and social profiles, developing web content and writing editorials and advertorials. You would also need to be able to deal efficiently and effectively with problems as they arise, identifying the best solution.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate for the role will have a relevant degree (in marketing or similar). You should have gained at least 1 to 2 years' in a similar role, preferably in-house, and will be looking to develop your marketing career. You should certainly have a strong knowledge of marketing principles / practices and administration procedures, have excellent writing and numeracy skills, be very computer literate, and good with data. As a person, you should be self-motivated and entrepreneurial, flexible and punctual; a creative thinker with strong influencing and negotiating skills, and should have excellent problem analysis and solving skills. You will need to be able to work alone and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail skills and levels of accuracy. Personality fit is really important for this small, close-knit marketing team, so you should be friendly, empathetic, professional, courteous, and efficient - which should also extend to your customer service and communication skills.
