Relationship Development Officer

Our client is a charity supporting the welfare and well-being of a Chartered Institute, and its employees and families. The company offers a wide variety of support, information and resources (including events, workshops, seminars, e-learning applications and access to wider support services) to ensure the members and their families are supported throughout their lifetime, from student to retirement.
The charity's aim is to increasingly make a big impact on businesses within the Institute by offering high-value support, offered free to the businesses. The charity has a large marketing team, relationship team, and partners, who together raise awareness and engage UK wide businesses. First and foremost, this charity is a professional organisation, housed with motivated, intelligent and commercially focussed marketing and relationship teams, with the benefit of a supportive culture.
The role of the Relationship team is to identify the right audiences that can benefit from the support services (those where the charity can make a significant impact); to engage the appropriate stakeholders; propose and design the most effective programme of support against the objectives of the client business and work to deepen the relationship and become a partner to those businesses.
Within the Relationship Team, there is an opportunity to join as a Relationship Development Officer, managing and growing the mid-tier business market.
It is essentially a key Account Management role, where relationship building and delivering solutions are at its core. A typical week might see you at a breakfast meeting representing the charity to your market, meeting clients to explore how the charity can make an impact on their business/s, having follow-up meetings to present the most appropriate programme of support, presenting at an event and so much more. You'll probably be out and about 2 or 3 days per week, UK wide. A truly varied role, with plenty of autonomy to reach your goals.
There is room for progression within the team, and organisation so would really suit someone career focussed.
You will love this role if you need variety, autonomy, structure, clear objectives, to be rewarded for your commercial/strategic discipline and the ability to deliver not only new and deeper relationships but enjoy the co-ordination of the delivery.
You will need to come with evidence of working in Account Management, Partnership Management, Relationship Management or any role that requires relationship building and delivery management.
Ideally, you will have membership organisation experience.
